Due to the University of Wisconsin–Madison’s decision to suspend in-person courses, workshops, and conferences for summer term because of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the Madison Early Music Festival Workshop and Concert Series has been postponed. This extraordinary situation has affected all of us and we missed seeing you this summer. Updates will be posted on our website as they are available.
The Madison Early Music Festival (MEMF) Concert Series includes four concerts featuring guest ensembles. A Participant Concert showcases consorts coached by MEMF faculty. The culminating All-Festival Concert is presented by participants, faculty, and guest artists.
Evening concerts are preceded by a 6:30 pm John W. Barker Lecture Series. All concerts and lectures take place at the Hamel Music Center (740 University Avenue).
Tickets to individual concerts are $22 for general admission and $12 for students. The Festival Concert Pass costs $90 and includes admission to all 5 evening concerts.
Note: All MEMF Concert Series concerts and lectures are free for participants in the MEMF Workshop. There is a $4 transaction fee per ticket when purchasing online or by phone.
