The Madison Early Music Festival concludes with a celebratory Student Showcase Concert, highlighting the creativity, growth, and collaboration of participants throughout the festival. Students from UW–Madison and beyond will share the results of their work in masterclasses, workshops, and rehearsals with international guest artists.

Dance students and community participants will join the musicians on stage, presenting choreographies developed during the festival that bring Baroque music to life through movement.

This culminating event embodies MEMF’s spirit of tradition and innovation, offering audiences a glimpse into the dynamic exchange between students, faculty, and guest artists.

The Return of MEMF

The festival now blooms in radiant light,
Its stage reborn with voices pure and strong.
Once silent halls now gleam in warm delight,
Revived by hearts that kept its pulse so long.

Through years of rest, the dream lay hushed, yet near,
Awaiting breath to stir its art again.
Now Baroque sounds awaken, bright and clear,
And joy resounds through every voice and strain.

The dancers twirl; the air with beauty glows,
Each gesture sings of labor turned to grace.
From long-lost sleep, the living music grows,
Reclaiming once more its exalted place.

So let the world bear witness, heart and sound:
MEMF returns—revived, renewed, renowned.
